Gulf to Ghana — Houston to Tema, the West Africa port that clears faster than Lagos in most months.
Tema is Ghana's primary container port and, for many shippers, the more predictable West Africa option: newer terminal capacity and faster customs throughput than Lagos in most months. For cargo bound for Accra and inland Ghana, it's the natural gateway.
We run Tema FCL for containerized freight, break-bulk for project equipment, and RoRo for wheeled and motorized equipment. As with every Africa lane, the documentation has to be right before the cargo sails — we prepare it correctly upfront and work with a named clearing agent at destination.
In most months, yes — Tema's newer terminal capacity and customs throughput tend to clear faster than Lagos's congestion. For Ghana-bound cargo it's the natural port; for some Nigeria cargo it can even be a faster routing with inland onward movement.
