Why we built a desk for the hard freight.

Jay Reyes spent years in logistics watching the same pattern: shippers calling broker after broker for the loads that didn't fit standard routing. Permit-heavy heavy haul. Cross-border into Mexico with documentation nobody wanted to handle in two languages. Ocean cargo to African ports where the paperwork shifted country by country. The market routed around those loads — and the shippers paid premiums for whoever would actually take the call.

LASLINT was started in 2022 to be that desk. We took on the freight other brokers turned away. We named our customs partners by country instead of treating the world outside US trucking as one undifferentiated “ocean” line item. And we built our own AI to handle the permit math, escort coordination, and carrier vetting that used to chew up a dispatcher's entire day — so we could carry volume without losing the “named-dispatcher-on-every-load” standard.
